Happy New Year!!

couple of hours....
couple of minutes....
a year has been spent... and another year has entered...... and today we will enter another obstacle in our lives...

and that is the year 2008.
the year of the RAT.



based what i've read on the internet and watching T.V., the year of the rat has many possible happenings will come.
Here we stepping up major long term reforms and meeting challenges about globalization and global warming according to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.


According to the Chinese, the year of the rat says that more money will come to us or what you call (when money comes, then money goes, when money goes, money comes, gets?). And its says that this is the good year for getting new jobs, getting married and making a fresh start. In Chinese, the year of the rat is respected and considered a courageous and enterprising person, people born in the year of the rat are clever and bright, sociable and family minded.


The year 2008 is a leap year or the intercalary year, here February (only 28 days) becomes 29, it gives extra day every four years but based on my research about folk tradition of the Greece, getting married a leap year is a bad luck for the couple, so they avoided setting a marriage date in a leap year. A person born in a leap year is called "leapling", too interested. They celebrate their birthday instead of February 29, February 28 or March 1.



For me, even its either a bad luck or good luck, the important is, we must face challenges for the incoming of the year 2008 and we must celebrate this year.
